Do you love Halloween? Do you love dressing up your cat or dog in ridiculous costumes so you can post embarrassing pictures of them on the Interwebs? Heck, do you like cash and valuable prizes?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you’re going to want to enter our very first virtual costume contest, the Pets Adviser & DogTime Media Halloween 2011 Pets Photo Contest, presented by Pets Adviser and DogTime Media (visit their sites DogTime and CatTime).
A total of 13 entrants in our virtual costume parade will win prizes, a very fitting number for a Halloween contest! Pets Adviser will announce a Grand Prize winner, a Best Dog Photo winner, a Best Cat Photo winner and 10 Honorable Mentions.
The winners will receive some amazing prizes, including cash, treats, toys and the Grand Prize … a $500 donation, courtesy of DogTime Media, to the registered nonprofit animal shelter or rescue of the winner’s choice!
You’re going to want to share this contest with your friends and family, especially if you work with a nonprofit animal shelter or rescue or if you know someone who does. Grand Prize
The Pets Adviser Panel of Judges will select one Grand Prize winner, who will receive the following prizes:
- $500 donation to a registered 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue or shelter of the winner’s choice (courtesy of DogTime Media)
- $25 cash award (courtesy of Pets Adviser)
- A selection of dog or cat toys and treats from Terra Paws, Tipsy Nip & H.J. Mews
- Copy of Pets Adviser’s new e-book, No-Nonsense Dog Nutrition
The winning photo can be of a cat or a dog — or both in one picture! We’ll adjust the contents of the toys and treats accordingly.
If you win the Grand Prize, you must furnish Pets Adviser with a photo of yourself and your pet(s) for publication on the Pets Adviser website as well as those of our sponsors. We will send the check directly to your selected organization.
Best Dog Photo
Pets Adviser readers — that’s YOU! — will select one Best Dog Photo. The winner will be determined by the number of Facebook “Likes” it receives on our website from 12:00 PM EST on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 and ending at 12:01 AM EST on Monday, November 7, 2011. The Best Dog Photo Winner will receive the following prizes:

Best Cat Photo
