Dog Whisperer tips on barking
Over the past few years, mega-celebrity animal “rehabilitator” Cesar Millan, aka “the Dog Whisperer,” has offered a number of easy tips to control barking. While it is natural for your puppy to bark from time to time, nuisance barking is a big problem, and you should stop this bad behavior right away.
Here is a quick one-two-punch dog whisperer tip on barking, straight from Millan himself. No need for anti-bark collars or a shock collar or such thing like that.
Dog Whisperer Tips on Barking
1. With a stern look or clap of the hand, tell your pup to stop barking now. Do not go back to what you were doing until your pet seems to have completely submitted to you.
2. Take a deep breath, cool off, and remain calm. Canines don’t follow unhinged leaders. If you’re frustrated, so will your pet be.
Now that the moment has passed, think about how you can prevent dog barking in the future. Challenge and stimulate your pet by lacing your daily walks with a steep incline. Ride a bike while your pup trails along beside you. Believe it or not, this exercise will help release pent-up energy and eliminate nuisance barking before it ever begins. Woof!
As Cesar Millan says, when you try out these quick dog whisperer tips “with 100 percent dedication and focus…the results may surprise you.”

Cesar is one amazing chap I was watching him working with a rescue dog that would bolt everytime the rescue centre opened the door to fed her. After a few weeks of hard work from all concerned they were able to get the dog interacting like any normal dog. I have used hand clapping myself and it works well
Thank you so much for the tips on barking. We love animals, but there’s nothing to take away the peace of a sunset view than a dog barking continually. Maybe I can get this info passed on to our neighbors down the street.
