When a Dog Eats Money

In Wisconsin not long ago, a dog named Pepper got into a whole steaming pile of trouble after eating nearly $750 in cash. Pepper had gotten into lipstick and toothpaste before, his owner Debbie Hulleman told reporters, but “this is probably the worst,” she said.

When a dog eats money, a pet owner retrieves it the old-fashioned way.

And that’s what Hulleman did: She sorted through poop and vomit. That foul chore netted her about $400, Hulleman said.

“Everyone said, ‘I can’t believe you did that.’ Well, for 400 dollars, yeah, I would do that.”

Smelly cash. Don’t spend it all in one place, Debbie. No, really. That would be gross.
